be Cheated by Presse Masters & Comissaryes in p^rtending to
have pay for that w^ch his hono^r hath bought & payd for already
M^r Steevens & M^r Hatton sent to the upp howse w^th the
sayd message in writing they Retorne.
Came the Secry with the accounts Muster Roll & Journal of
the Expedition ag^t the Nantecoake Jndians.
On the backside of the Go o^rs account was thus
written, Whereas by the advice & consent of Gou^rno^r
Councell & Delegates p^rsent at the laying of the last publique
of this Province the sume of 20000^ls Tobacco was
Depos erno^rs hands for Repayring of the state howse,
Since w^ch time of said leavy seu'all accidents have
hapned w^ch have Required ding not only the said
sume of 20000^ls of Tobacco but also the Tob over &
above the sd 20000^ls Tob: by the sd Governo^r as by
the pticulers of the within acc^t being for the use and service of
Country, The Gou^rno^r therefore desires that he may
be discharged from sume of 20000^ls Tob: deposited as
afores^d and that the same may be entred in the Journal of both
howses and that the said

may be awarded him out of the publique

yeare, according to his Request if

Lewellyn Clerke of the Assembly.
The Gou in this howse, This howse allow of the
sa w^th the upp howse in their above vote, & ordered
from the sayd 20000^ls of Tobacco, and be allowed out of
the pub vy the ballance of his account 11206^ls of
Tobacco.
M^r Christopher Rowsby & Capt Marsh sent back with the
s^d account.
They Retorne.
M^r Hill & Capt Marsh sent to the upp howse to acquainte
them that our Comittee of accounts are ready to attend the
Members of the upp howse.
They Retorne.
M^r Rowsby Delivers into the howse, the Kings printed
Articles of warre.
Came M^r Woolman from the Comittee of priviledges w^th
this pap.
