To Coll. Wm Stevens of Somersett County

To Maj: Thomas Taylor of Dorchester County
together with a Coddv of the former Instructions

of this nature in Tib: Coun: R. R. R. fo: 317 with this subscrip-
tion to both viz.

April 28th 1686.

The above Instructions and orders to be observed and pur-
sued by Maj: Thomas Tailler of Dorchester County.

Kent County Read the following letter or proceedings of the
comn Letter Comrs of Kent County at their County Court viz:
to counciii. At a County Court held for the County of Kent

the twenty fifth day of March Ann. Dom. 1686 and in the
eleventh year of the Domn of the Rt honble Charles Absolute
Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon
Lord Baron of Baltemore &c.

Mr Daniel Norris

May it please your Honrs

According to his Lordships Comissions unto us and sev-
erall others to be Comrs and Justices in the said County of
Kent, We have taken the oath of Commissioner and Justice of
the Peace, to serve his Lordshio and Countrev with the best of

our knowledge,-Mr Philip Connor in the said Com-
missions named, being called to be sworne, refused
it, and Mr Winchester being disabled by sickness
is not in a capacity to sitt in Court, likewise Capt:
Lawrence being afflicted with sickness hath not
been at any Court in the said County since the

last Commission, soe that many times, specially in the winter
season, there is not Justices to make a full Court, which is many
times a greate delay and damage to Suitors haveing business
depending in the said Court, which to prevent what in us lyes,
Wee doe hereby pray (if your Honre shall think fitt) that there
may be some others added to the said Commission Wee doe
