    Court and Testamentary Business, 1642.      69

     

      then of 2 other honest & indrent men, a true & pfect Inventary Liber Z.

      of all the said goods & chattells wch you shall have knowledge

      of & cause the said goods & chattells or so many of them as

      shall come to yor hands to be sold at an outcry to the best

      value and the said Inventary and true and faithfull Accompt of

      yor Admraon to make & deliver to vs or Or Leutent Grall or

      our Comder of Kent or such other pson as shalbe authorised

      by vs or Or Leutent Grall vpon demand or demands vntill you

      be discharged of yor said Admraon. Given at St maries this 26th

      of March 1642.

     

        Cecilius &c To our trusty Richard Purlivant of Or Ile of

      Kent greeting. we relying vpon yor honest & provident

      circumspection, doe hereby cornmitt vnto you the Admraon &c

      of Henry wood &c. charging you &c. that you make a true

      & pfect Inventary &c. & the same, & a true & faithfull

      Accompt of yor Admraon to make & deliver to 0r Secretary or Or

      Coinder of Kent, at such times as you shalbe by them or one

      of them appointed. Given 28 June 1642.

     

        Cecilius &c To or trusty John Abbott of Or Tie of Kent p. 107

      planter &c. whereas John Boteler late of Or said Iland gent

      deceased, did vpon the first of Aprill last, (as we are sufficiently

      informed by the severall oaths of mathew Rodan, and Thomas

      Allen,) make & ordeine his last will & testnt in writing, & the

      same did signe scale & deliver in the presence of the said

      witnesses for his last will & testnt the true copie of wch said

      writing is herevnto annexed; wch we doe hereby accordingly

      approve & admit the same for the last will & testnt of the said

      Jo. boteler. And whereas the said John boteier in and by the

      same did constitute & appoint his brother to be exequutor of

      his said last will and testnt; which said living & residing con

      stantly in England can not exequute the same at present in

      these parts nor may be convented by vs to know whether he

      will accept or refuse it; and so is in the vnderstanding of the

      lawe supposed to die intestate as to that point of naming an

      exequutor; we willing to provide herein as neare as we may

      to the intent & will of the deceased & pceiving you the said

      Jo. Abbot to be appointed & entrusted to be one of the over

      seers, for the present disposing of his estate & paying of his

      debts & legacies doe hereby comrnitt vnto you the said John

      Abbott, the Admraon of all the lights debts gouds & chattels

        were the said John Boteler's within this Prov: at the tithe

      of his decease, vntill the said shall vndertake the

      exequution of his said last will & testnt. Charging you by

      vertue of yor oath made vnto vs in this behalfe that you make

      or cause to be made in the pike & by the discretion of any two
