bee respited till the next Court Wch in regard of the ex- Liber A. tremity of the weather is ordered accordingly
Anthony Rawlins plte The Pltes suite being for 1000 l Tob. & Marks Pheypo deft Cask due by Bill dated 1 3 ffebr 1648 wherein Georg Manners and the deft Pheypo were bound to pay vnto the Plte 1000 l of Tob: in Cask by or before the 10th of November then next. And the defendt acknowledged the Bill as aforesaid But Georg Manners being prsent in Court alleadged that 500 l of Tob: and Caske part of the said debt was paid. Wch Mr ffenwike (whom the deft acknowledged to bee the pltes Attorney) did confesse and allowed thereof It is therefore ordered that the defendt shall pay the residue of the said debt being ffive hundred pounds of Tob: in Caske to the Plaintiffe

Country, due to him as servant to Capt Cornewallis whereto Mr ffenwick answered hee had writt to Capt Cornewallis who had returned Answere hee owed the plte nothing And the Plaintiffe wanting proofe at prsent desired respite It is there fore ordered that the hearing of the Cause bee respited till further proofe.

Caske due by Bill & Accompt the warrant being 250 January returnable this Court The defendt came this day and acknowledged Judgmt therevppon for the said debt being five hundred and twenty pounds of Tob: and Caske as aforesaid Vt Testor Tho: Hatton Secr. At a Court held at St Wilirn Stone Esqr Governor Thomas Greene Esqr Maries 14to ffebr 1649 esent Mr Thomas Hatton Mr John Pile p. 3t4 Willm Hardwich plte Vppon the humble Peticon of Wifim Mr Willm Bretton deft Hardwich therein charging Mr Bretton with the tearing of a draught of a deposicon by him the said Bretton heretofore taken in a Cause betweene the said Hardwich plte and Capt John Price deft, when bee the said Bretton was Register to the Peticoners priudice. And prayed that the Execucon wch the said Bretton endeavored to take forth against the Peticoner for certaine ffees in the same Cause might bee stayed till further hearing It is therevpon ordered that the Peticoner may pceede against Mr Bretton for any damage hee hath suffered by any misdemeanor of the said Brettons in the Peticon menconed But Mr Bretton is at liberty to take out execucon for his just ffees.
