              Court and Testamentary Business, 1648.     457

      

        Ordered according to the motion, & tht Mr ffenwick shall Liber A.

       prosequute betweene this & March Court next, his claime of

       right to the foresd Cow. Otherwise the sd Smoote to keepe

       the sd Cow, & her increase according to the bargaine.

      

        Came Mrs Margarett Brent, & requyred the Opinion of the

       Court, Concerning the Pattent of Mr Leonard Caluert, in the

       case of the Tenemts apperteyning to the Rebells wthin his

       Mannors Whither or noe their forfeitures belonged to the Lord

       of the Mannors

        The resolution of the Court was tht the sd fforfeitures did of

       right belong to the sd Lord of the Mannors by uertue of his

       condicon of Plantaon. The sd rites usually belonging to the

       Lds of Mannors in England. And tht the Words in the Pattent

       expressed, Viz All commodities, aduantages, Emoluments, &

       hereditaments, whatsoeur (Royall iurisdiction excepted) in

       cluded the same.

      

        Came Nicolas Gwyther & demanded Attatchmt agst the

       Estate of Thomas Jackson ffor tht he the sd Gwyther being

       bownd for the sd Jackson, as surety, hee hath beene adiudged

       248 by this Court, to pay the sd debt, to the ualew of 248 l Tob.

       240 & another Bill of 240 l agst him this Court, Charges of

      Court. wherby hee hath beene much damnifyed.

        Attatchmt to the Sheriffe ret. Jan: Court next.

      

        Giles Brent Esqr demandeth of Cuth: ffenwick Attorney for

       Capt Tho: Cornewalleys the summe of 2000 l Tob. & cask, dew

       to him by uertue of the Ld Proprs grant in the time, tht the sd

       Giles Brent, was Gour here in Mary-Land. Being the one

       halfe of a Bond forfeited by the sd Capt Tho: Cornewalleys,

       unto the Ld propr by him & Rich: Ingle Mariner, for not fur

       nishing the Colony wth ammunition in May in the yeare 1643

       according to their Assumpsit.

        wart to the Sheriffe ret. qdo inseruiet.

      

        ffrancis Van Enden demandeth of ffrancis Posey 108 l Tob &

       cask for Ordinaries.

        Warrt to the Sheriffe ret. Jan Court next.

      

        ffrancis Van Enden demandeth of Jno Hatch 72 l Tob & cask

       for 6 Ordinaries. Warrt to the Sheriffe ret Ut suprá

      

        ffrancis Van Enden demandeth of Robt Clark 1 20 l Tob. & p. 221

       cask for 10 Ordinaries
