430 Court and Testamentary Business, 1648.
Liber A. Nouembr 30 John Hatch demandeth out of the Estate of Tho: Allen deceased 528 l Tob: & cask. Viz by Bill 3401 & by acct 88 l
John Walton pr Attornat George Manners demandeth of Edward Hudson dammages, to the valew of 2000 l Tob & cask ffor tht the sd Hudson, being intrusted, wth diurs goods by the sd Waltons wife to be deliuered to the Walton here in Mary Land: the sd Hudson neur as yctt hath gyuen any acct thereof to the sd Walton, but still deteyneth them in is owne possesn much to his dammage & hinderance. wart to the Sheriffe to be att the Court in Decmebr next.
Edward Commins complayneth agst George Manners, for tht the sd Manners hath defamed him publikely, in charging him to haue feloniously taken away from the sd Manners an iron pestle. And for upbraiding him this complt wth many injurious words, touching the same & requyreth damage 20000 l Tob: for thus defaming. Wart to the Sheriffe ret. Decembr Court.

And Mr Clarke John Courts & Stephen Salmon, who were lawfully excused. & the Gour remitted Jno Shirtliffe his fine uppon reasonable Excuse & all the rest allso.
