      use of the sd Nicolas: But as yett he this dept neur receaued Liber A.

      any thing towards it from the sd Esqr And further he sayth not.

        Thomas Hebden (in caâ Wm Harditch supra att the request

      of Capt Jno Price) sayth uppon his oath, tht he this dept was

      prnt when Gour Caluert sent the sd Capt Price to bring all tht

      had bene in Rebellion to the ffort of St Inego's. Bidding the sd

      C. Price bring any other things, wth he thought fitting for the

      Soldiers, And uppon motion of sack, the sd Gout replyed,

      bidding him bring sack, if he fownd any & further he sayth

      not.            Jurat in curia.

     

        Mrs Margarett Brent complayneth agst Mr Peter Knight p. 184

      Mercht for tht shee being possessed by deeds sufficient in the

      Law, bearing date sometime in the yeare 1644: & registerd

      uppon the Records of the County of Kent, from his brother Mr

      Giles Brent of a stock of neat-cattle, certaine draft Oxen wth

      waines plowgeers &c: wth other things therein expresd. As

      likewise of Kent Mill & Kent ffort, wth all the Land, howsing

      & appurtenances thereunto belonging. Hee the sd Peter Knight

      sometime in the yeare 1646, unlawfully entred into the sd Kent

      Mill, & all the profitts thereof, from tht time, unto the time tht

      the Gout Mr Leon: Caluert tooke the Ile of Kent, conuerted

      to his owne use the sd profitts, being dew to her the sd Mar

      garett Brent, & amounting to the ualue, as the sd Mill hath

      beene heretofore sett to 3000 l Tob. wth cask. Likewise tht

      some time in the sd yeare the sd Peter Knight, bearing himselfe

      as the Capt of a rebellious crew, to defend the sd Ile agst the

      Gout made his garryson of her howse of Kent ffort. And

      during the sd time, conuerted all the profitts of the sd land to

      his owne use, or theirs by himselfe & then killed diuers of her

      cattle wth gun shott & otherwise & made the rest wild, to the

      dammage of her the sd Margarett Brent aboue 8000 l Tob. fyred

      diuers howses to Kent ffort belonging to the dammage of 6000 l

      Tob. Likewise a wayne & wheeles to the ualew of 600 l Tob.

      used, tooke away & dispersed her plowgeeme to the ualue of

      1000 l Tob. & being after forced to fly by the Gout By himselfe

      or his agents tooke away all the iron worke of the sd Kent Mill,

      03000 l tht could be taken away wthout fyring her, thereby

      08000 decaying the Mill, to the value of 10000 l Tob. & att the

          same time departing from the sd Kent ffort howse, ruined

      01000 the howse in taking hinges & locks from the doores: &

       in taking away doores & defacing the sd howse to the

     ——   ualew of 2000 l Tob. & cask. ffor all wch seuerall dam-

      30600 mages & losses susteyned by the sd Peter Knight, shee

      the sd Margarett Brent bringeth her suite.
