Tuesday 26th of May The House met
Present as yesterday wth Mr Truman

The House is Adjourned till 2 of the
Clock in the Afternoone

Marieland ss. Memorandum That the 16th day of May in
the 42th yeare of the dominion of Caecilius &c. Annoq Dni 1673
Came Jo. Bailey by Rob! Ridgeley his Attorney before the
Honble Philip Calvert Esq Chancelor of this Province & Prayed
his Lordships Writ of error to him the sd Jo. Bailey to be
graunted to the Justices of his Lordships Proall Court to be
directed to Require them the sd Justices of the sd Proall Court
to Send before his Lop in his Upper house of Assembly at his
Lordships Citty of St Maries the 26th day of the same May
the Tenor of the Record & Proceedings & Judgmt of the st
Proal1 Court in a Cause lately there depending between one
Certaine Reymond Stapleforte Plaintife & the sd. Jo. Bailey
Def' in a Plea of debt and it is graunted unto him The tenor
whereof followeth in these words vizt Caecilius Absolute Lord
& Proprietarie of Maryland & Avalon Lo. Baron of Baltemore
&c. To the Justices of or Proall Crt of or sd Province of Mary-
land Greeting Because in the Record & Processe as allsoe in
the Rendring of Judgmt & graunting of Scire facias thereupon
before you in or sd Court agt Jo. Bailey at the Suite of Rey-

mond Staplefort in a Plea of debt manifest Error hath happened
to the grea[te] damage of the sd Jo. Bailey as by the greate
Complt [of the sd] Jo. Bailey we have receaved We willing tht
the E[rror (if any] be) should in due manner be Corrected &
full & Sp[eedy] Justice to be done to the sd Parties in this
behalfe [we] Comand you tht if Iudgmt thereof be rendred
then the [Record] & Processe of the Judgmt & Scire facias
aforesd wth [all] thinges touching or Concerning the same to
us in of Upp[er] House of Assembly at or Cittie of St Maries on
the [ ] day of or sd Assembly being the 26th day of May
next under yor hands & Seales distinctly & openly you send
[that] Inspection being had of the Records & Proceedings
therein We may Cause further to be done what of Right &
according to the Lawes & ConstitucOns of this or Province ought
To be done therein & tht you Cause the sd Reymond Staple-
ford to be Sumoned to be then & there to heare the same &
allsoe tht you have there this writ Witnes or Selfe at or Citty of
St Maries the 16th day of May in the 42th yeare of of Dominion
over or sd Province Annoq dni 1674
