    [photo, U.S. Capitol (from East Capital St.), Washington, DC] The following boundary description of congressional election districts refers to election districts, wards, and precincts signify geographical boundaries as they existed on April 1, 2000. These reflect Maryland's congressional election districts that governed elections from 2002 to 2010. They were enacted by the General Assembly in 2002 (Chapter 340, Acts of 2002; Code Election Law Article, secs. 8-701 through 8-709).
