In private law practice, 1962-65. Lecturer (urban problems & local government), Center for Urban Affairs, The Johns Hopkins University, 1971. Director, Consumer Law Center, Legal Aid Bureau, Baltimore, 1972-75. Author, It's the Classroom, Stupid: A Plan to Save America's Schoolchildren (2010). Married; four children.
