Insurance agent, State Farm. Board of Directors, Chesapeake Arts Center, Brooklyn Park, 2006-07. Legislator of the Year, State's Attorneys' Association, 1986. Legislator of the Year, State Fraternal Order of Police, 1993. Senator of the Year, State's Attorneys' Association, 1994. Married; two children.
