Summer Internship - IT Application Developer



Who:  Undergraduate or graduate level college students attending Maryland schools or Maryland residents attending out-of-state schools are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to students currently enrolled in relevant Information Technology Majors including but not limited to Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Game Design, Web and Application development. The competitive selection process is based on an evaluation of the following application materials:

What:  During the ten-week paid summer program, interns will engage in a variety of activities related to the designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining applications and websites. Application development at the archives is centered around object oriented, database driven desktop and web applications. Knowledge of VB.NET, ASP.NET, ColdFusion, HTML, and/or MS SQL Server is preferred. Any additional programming experience in other languages is also a plus. Interns will receive an hourly wage, paid bi-weekly. Hourly rates are based on education level: Some assignments may require off-site work. Interns will receive an hourly wage, paid bi-weekly. Hourly rates are based on education level: undergraduate at $10.99 per hour, and graduate at $11.61 per hour.

When:  Wednesday, June 5 - Tuesday, August 13, 2013  
Positions are Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week
