Internship - Maryland Commission on Artistic Property

Note: There is no announcement number. Use "Intern" as the job title on the form.
What: This internship will be devoted to researching
the early history of the Maryland Commission on Artistic
Property. Formed in 1969, the Commission is responsible for
managing, interpreting and exhibiting the art collections
owned by the state of Maryland. The intern's primary task will
be to document the formation of the Commission and the
activities and achievements of its first two decades. In
addition, the intern will also assist with the management of
archival records relating to the Commission. During this
internship, the intern will gain in-depth experience in
developing an institutional history, develop an understanding
of the importance in managing archival and contemporary
records, and learn basic art handling skills.
Interns will receive an hourly wage, paid bi-weekly. Hourly
rates are based on education level: undergraduate at $10.63
per hour, and graduate at $11.25 per hour.

When: Wednesday, June 5 - Tuesday, August 13, 2013
Positions are Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week
