Note that many cases in 1928 were handled by the firm of Davis & Evans, a partnership which probably existed until October of 1928. These cases are included in this listing, as the extent to which each partner was involved is not readily apparent. Many of them do seem to have handled by Davis, at least in part, judging by handwriting. In addition, Davis broke his hip in the fall of 1927, according to the Baltimore Afro-American (7 Jan. 1928); he returned home from the hospital January 23, 1928 . This accounts for the fact that he handled few cases in January of 1928.
