Recommendation of Assistant Chairman, that we pay $£,000 on property on Frederick Avenue adopted. • A • Chairman and Chief 3n directed to advertise during the winter, the C dar Grove-Damascus Road. Page 451. Chairman teller recommended that the Oonmlsslon pay $2,000,00 on the price of a piece of property to be purchased by the City of Baltimore on the West side of Gwynns Falls and on the north side of Frederick Road, this meaning a net saving to the Commission of « '< $2,000.00, on the improvement of Frederick Avenue, within the City limits, as explained and recommended by Assistant Chairman Zouok, in his letter of December 14, 1912, and approved by Chief Engineer Shirley on December 16, 1912, Upon motion of Mr. Ramsay, seconded by Dr. Clark, the recommendation of the Chairman was adopted. Upon notion of Mr. Goslin, seconded by Dr. Clark, it was voted that B. B. Gondor, Contractor on our Contract #0103, in Queen Anne's B. B. Gonder, Contractor on Contract #0103 allowed County bo allowed the $879.00 deducted from his final estimate for $579.00, deducted from hiecost of inspQCtion, this sum to be accepted by Mr. Gonder in full final estimate. settlement of all claims made by hin for delays and extra work on said contract, as recoMnended by Chief Engineer Shirley in hie letter of November 2, 1912. Upon notion of Mr. Ramsay, seconded by Dr. Clark, tho Chairman and the Chief Engineer were directed to prepare plans and estimates to <--dvertise daring the winter, for building in tho Spring of 1913, in Montgomery County, about 2 miles of road from Cedar Grove North toward Damascus, and about 2 miles toward Damascus and Cedar Grove from the Southern extremity of the State Road extending South from Ridgeville, and that arrangements be made during tlie winter to have local stone hauled for this incompleted gap, if this can be done to advantage. Upon notion of Dr. Clark, seconded by Mr. Goslin, the final estimate of ?. Flanigan & Sons, Contractors on Contract #0254, on Garrison Avenue, in Baltimore City, amounting to $24,864.93, was aporoved. Against this there had been advanced to P. Flanigan & Final estimate of ?. Flunigan & Tens, Contract #0254, ap-sQns the sum of $27,000.00, as f ollows: On February 19, 191;-, provod* $;jO,000.00, and on March &0, 1912, $7,000.00, making an overpayment to said contractors of $2,135.07. This sum was deducted from the payment of $3,952.90, made to P. Flunigan & Sons, on December 24, 1915, by voucher #21243, in settlement of all claims of said contractors on our Contract #0251, on the Harford Road, in Baltimore City, and the balance of $1,817.83, so paid to P. Flanigan A Sons on said Contract #0251, was accepted by F. Flanigan & Sons, in full settlement of all claims and accounts against the State Hoads Commission on Contracts #0251 and #0254. After a report by Chairman Weller as to the status of the B, & 0. Railroad crossing at Slkridge, upon motion of Mr. Ramsay, second-Committee appointed to make satisfactory arrangement ed ^ M*- Goslin, a Committee, consisting of Dr. Reason, Assistant as to B. & 0. crossing at shairnan, Zouok, and Chief Engineer Shirley, was appointed to en-** * deavor to tring about a satisfactory arrangement as to said oroae- ing with the B. & 0. Railroad, the Public Service Commission, and the citizens of Blkridge.
