Page 460. Motion to adjourn. Upon motion of Dr. Hemsen, seconded by Mr. Ramsay, tha Commission adjourned. ADJOURNED: eorotary. One hundredth and eighth meeting. Present. Approval of Minutes. Baltimore, Md., Jaauary 7, 1913. A special meeting of the State Roads Commission was held at its offioee, 554 N. Howard Street, Baltimore, Md., this Tuesday, January 7, 1913, at 9.30 A. M. Present: Chairman Weller, Dr. Clark, Messrs. Goslin and Ramsay. Upon motion of Dr. Clark, seconded by Mr. Goslin, the minutes of the meeting of December 20, 1912, were approved. Upon motion of Mr. Goslin, seconded by Mr. Ramsay, it was voted that the Chairman and Chief Sngineer be authorized to enter into a contract with J. B. Francis, on Contract #0163, for the road between MoHenry and Hoyes, in Garrett County, upon the estimate of $57,629.80 for the, work, as set forth in Chief Sngineer Shirley's letter of January 6, 1913. Upon motion of Dr. Clark, seconded by Mr. Ramsay, the Chairman and the Chief Sngineer were directed to advertise for bids for Improving Chairman and Chief Engineer authorized to the York Road, from the City line to Lyraan Avenue, in Baltimore County, Chairman and Chief Sn gineer authorized to enter int •> contract with J. S. Francis, ca Contract £0165, MoHenry-Hoyes Hoad. advertise for bids on York Road, from City line to Lyman Avenue. Claim of United Railways & Slectric Co. Committee appointed to secure proper width for the old national Pike in Allegany Co. Mr. Ramsay appointed a Committee of One t take over National Pike between Conoc-oheague Crk. & Alle— gany Co. line. Extension of Contract $076, Cambridge-lit. Holly. a distance of about 1.33 miles, in accordance with the recommendation of Chief Sngineer Shirley in his letter of January 7, 1913. Upon motion of Mr. Ramsay, seconded by Mr. Goslin, it was voted that no action be taken toward paying the United Railways & Electric Company on their claims of $41,265.22, as set forth in the letter of President William House, of November 14, 1912, and his accompanying statement, until the suit of the Commission against the United Railways & Bleotrio Company for the recovery of moneys already paid said company has been adjudicated and determined. Upon motion of Mr. Goslin, seconded by Dr. Clark, a Committee, consisting of Mr. Ramsay, Chief Sngineer Shirle./, and Mr. Greenbaum, was appointed to take such steps: as are necessary to secure the proper width for the National Turnpike in Allegany County. Upon motion of Dr. Clark, seconded by Mr. Goslin, Mr. Ramsay was appointed a Committee of One to take up with the Qounty Commissioners of Washington County the question of the Commission taking over that portion of the old National Pike between the Conococheague Creek and the Allegany County line. Upon motion of Dr. Clark, seconded by Mr. Goslin, the time of Messrs. Phillips & Heal for completing their contract #075 from Cambridge to Mt. Holly, in Dorchester County, was extended to May 1, 1913, as recommended by Chief Sngineer Shirley In his letter of January 6, 1912.
