Page 406. Baltimore. Md., April 22nd, 1912. Sighty-ninth Meeting. Present. Minutes approved, Opinion requested as to purchase of machinery,&o, Chairman authorized to negotiate a loan for carrying on- road worfc. Board of Public Works to ieeue $1,000,000 of State Soad Bonds. Bill of W. H. Spedden for 1181.44 ordered paid. A Special Meeting of the State Roads Commission wus held at its offices in the Union Trust Building, Baltimore, Maryland, this Monday, April 2£nd, 1912, at 10 A. M. Present: Chairman teller, Dr. Rensen, Dr. Clark, Messrs. Shoenaker and Lloyd. The minutes of the meeting of the Conmiseion held April 19th, 1912, were read and approved. Dr. Clark offered the following: "R3SOLV3D that the Counsel be requested to inform the Comiesion whether it has the power to purchase machinery and other equipment out of the funds of the Commission, and then to give such purchases to any individual county, charging the cost of the sane to the allotment for such county." The foregoing resolution was seconded by Mr. Shoemaker, and adopted. On motion of Dr. Clark, seconded by Mr. Shoemaker, the following resolution wus adopted: "R3SOL73D that 0. 3. Weller, Chairman of the State Hoods Commission, be, and he is hereby authorized and empowered to negotiate a loan for such amount as may be necessary to carry on the work of the State Roads Commission, in pursuance with the provisions of Chapter 361 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, January Session 1912." Mr. Shoemaker moved that the following resolution be adopted: "SrssOLTiD that 0. 3. 7/eller, Chairman of the State Soads CoramiESion, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to request the Board of Public Works of Maryland to o&use to be issued as promptly as possible, $1,000,000. of State Road Bonds under the provisions of Chapter 370 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1912, and that he cause a copy of this resolution to be filed with his request as Chairman with the Comptroller of the Treasury of Maryland." Dr. Herasen seconded the motion, and it was eo ordered. Mr. Shoeraaker moved that the bill of '.7. H. Spedden, Clerk and Treasurer of the County Commissioners of Dorohester County, for $181.44, dated February 26, 1912, for services rendered the State Hoads Commission ae timekeeper and for expenses, and approved by the Board of County Commissioners of Dorohester County, be paid. The motion being seconded by Dr. Remeen, was adopted.
