C. Forsythe at the amount of his bid, ,^2b964.20, and Contract .,-251 on the "ev/ark P.oad to the Alien Engineering und Contracting Company at their bid of $18350.0... The notion was seconded by Dr. P.ernBen, and adopted. Hr. Shocr.akor moved that the iiignv/ays Co::;::iasioners of Baltimore County "be authorised to inurove the Gloncoc Road from 0-lencoe Station tov/ards Monkton for a distance of about one mile, with the understanding that they will be reimbursed for the State's share of this expenditure when funds arc available. The motion was seconded by Mr. uutton, and adopted. On motion of Dr. P.Gncen, seconded by l.Ir. Shoo maker, the Chairman vrr.s authorized to sign agreement bct.voon the State P.oads Co:xiisr>ion and 1'. Planigan JL- Sons, covering the maintenance of work on Garrison Avenue between Batenan and Maine Avenues (Contract ,,0254) up to and including January 1st, 1'J17. Mr. Shoomkor moved that the order of Foray the & Spencer to pay the sum of Throe Thousand Dollars to the Second national Bank of Bel Air, Md., and charge the same to amounts due under their Contracts llos. 0173 and 0174, be accepted. The motion was seconded by Llr. Lloyd, and adopted. The Allegany County P.oad Directors undor date of October 18th, addressed a communication to the Commission regarding liquidated damages amounting to $600. which had been deducted from the State's share of the final estimate on Contract #iy4A (BordenDhaft-I.Iidland Road) , stating that it would not bo fair to deduct this amount from the contractor's estimate for the reason that the delay on this work was caused by their Board not being able to supply the |
