| Page 885. to hare a section of the Monrovia Road extended from 150 to 200 feet Intension of Monrovia Road. towards Xamptown, was read ; whereupon, on motion of Mr. Shoemaker. seconded by Mr. Button, the matter was referred to the Chairman, wltJH power. The Chairman presented bills from the County Commissioners Bills for repairs to S.A.R. of Baltimore and Caroline Counties for repairs to State Aid Roads, in Baltimore & Caroline COB. "hereupon, on motion of Mr. Hatton, seconded by Mr. Lloyd, the Chairman was authorized to certify said bills to the Treasurer for payment, Removal of tracks on First St.,Brooklyn. Extension of time on Contract #0111. On motion of Mr. Shoemaker, seconded by LJ. Lloyd, It was ordered that the question of removing the tracks on First Street, Brooklyn, be referred to the Chairman and Attorney-General, with power. Mr. Button moved that an extention of time be granted to wnilam C. Svans to September 1st, on Contract Ho. 0111. The motion was seconded by iir* Lloyd, and adopted. The Chairman submitted a recommendation from the Chief Engineer with respect to certain questions between George T. Steiner, et al, and Barton F.B. Garrett, et al, and the State Roads Commission, Agreements as to change of pertaining, respectively, to a change in the grade of the Jefferson-grade on Jefferson-Weaver- Weaverton Road in Frederick County, and a change in the grade of ton and Jefferson-Knoxville the JefferBon~ Knoxville Road, whereupon the Counsel, Mr. Benson, Roads. offered agreements between the above-named parties and the State Ho ads Commission, and on motion of Mr. Shoemaker, seconded by Mr. Lloyd, the Chairman was authorized, on behalf of the State Ho ads Commission, to execute the aforesaid agreements. P. Flanigan & Sons addressed the Commission regarding the question of testing bricks on Contracts Hos. 0251 and 0254, claiming Question of standardization *&*t *&• rattler used by the Commission was not standard ; whereupon, of rattler. on m°tion of iir. Shoemaker, seconded by Mr. Lloyd, the question of the standardization of the present machine or the purchase of a new one was referred to the Chairman and Chief Engineer, with power. On motion of Mr. Lloyd, seconded by Mr* Shoemaker, the Inspection of material for question of the employment of an expert on the inspection of Sharp town Bridge. structural steel and other material pertaining to Contract Ho. 0262, Sharp town Bridge, Was referred to the Chairman and Engineer, with power. On motion of Mr* Shoemaker, seconded by Mr. Button, the Chairman was authorized to notify the County Commissioners of Balti-more County that the State Roads Commission will approve the letting of Contract Ho. 116, Section 6, for the Improvement of the Valley Road in Baltimore County, the County to be ultimately reimbursed out of any ruture funds available for this purpose.
