Board of Trade regarding Jefferson-Knoxville Road A resolution adopted "by the "Board of Trade of ^rederick, }Td., waa submitted to the commission, regarding their views on the Receipt of resolution from two contracts recently awarded on the Jeffirson-Knoxvilie -ooad, in Tredarick County. Dr. P-jmsen moved that the Chairnan "he authorised to address a communication to thj ^oard of Trad;;, acknowledging receipt of their resolution. The notion was seconded by "r. Shoemaksr, and adopted. Tr. Shoemaker moved that Chairman Tucker "b j authorized to close Contract #0255 - Section 2, on th-j ^arford Road, -A'ith the Chairman authorized to Warren Irothors Company, provided an understanding ha had \vith said close contract #0255, Sec.2 Company that no extra allowances would "he made for type of bridge with Warren Brothers Co. over Herring Pun finally a^r^ed upon. The motion was seconded by Oovyrnor brothers, and adopted. Governor Crotlurs moved that thj Secretary ha instructed to communicate with all contractors havinf unfinished contracts under the Commission, calling their attention to the leniency of the ^ommis-sion in extending the time for tho completion of the contracts and urging t2i-jn lo i.-usl: t- i -.rork as fast as possihls. ^r. Shoemaker the motion, -.vhich was aduptud. Conirrunicstion urging contractors to push work to completion. Awarding of Contract 0173 and 0174 left with Chairman . Widening1 of Olenburnie Road. Motion to adjourn. Adjournment, On motion of ,"r. ShoenaV-er, seconded "by "r. button, it was that the awarding of Contracts 0173 and 0174 in varforA County to Hesors. ^orsythe & Spencer hJ left v/ith the Chairman, provided he is assured that th^ aforesaid contractors can complete these contracts within the specified time. The motion was adopted. Mr. Hut ton moved that the County coromissioners of Anne Arundal County be communicated with in r^rard to their request to have the olenburnie Road widened two feet on each side, making a sixtdJn foot road, statin-" that the Commission could not j^rant their request at thia time, but would do so when traffic on this section justified it.
