Rc-TA Papa 244, Present. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting of the Commission was dispensed with. Purchase of Boonsboro,Fredk . and Er:.:r.ittBburg Tnpks. and employment of bookkeeper held under consideration. Rough Draft of agreement "between U. Rwys. Co . & State Rds. Commission relative to Liberty Foad. Tixecution of foregoing agreement . Question of wood-filler between track space of Rwys.Co referred to City. Petition for completion of Falls Rd . between I'cSherry's Gate and Mount Washington. Recess. The matter of the purchase of the "^oonsboro, and HJmmittsburg Turnpikes, as also the employment of Mr. .T. A. Reynolds ae bookkeeper, was discussed by the "Roard, and as to the» natters Governor Cro there offered the following motion: Moved that the purchase of the above mentioned turnpikes, as wall as the employment of a bookkeeper for the ("ommission, be hold under consideration until tha next meeting of the Board on November 3rd, 1910, The motion was duly seconded and adopted. Mr. "Rernard Carter, representing the United railways & Electric Company of Baltimore, appeared before the "Roard, and submitted a rough draft of an agreement regarding the substitution of broken stone for concrete, the resetting af poles and the placing of new cross ties under the tracks of the aforesaid Company on the r.iberty Road. It was agreed that this contract "be prepared and submitted for execution by the Commissicn at an adjourned meeting to "be held at 3:30 P. IT. T'r. Carter also requested the ronmission to consider the question of substituting a wood filler instead of brick between the wabs of the tracks of the above mentioned Company on all turnpikes or streets over which the state poads commission has jurisdiction. Governor Crothars moved that this matter be referred to the City Authorities, and thair recommendations approved by the State Roads Commission. The motion was duly seconded and adopted. A petition from the residents of T't. Washington was presented to the Board, requesting the Commission to complete the improvement of the ^alls Road between T'cSherry' s gate and the bridge over the palls at J't. 'Washington. It was agreed that . the petitioners be notified of the intention of the Commission to have the work completed as soon as practicable. At this point (1:30 P. T/.) the commission took a recess until 3:30 o'clock. RECESS: Chairman authorized to execute agreement with Rwye.Co relating to Liberty Rd. On.motion of -nr. pemsen, seconded by *'r. -shoemaker, Thai* iaan Tuafcer was authorized, on behalf of the State -poads commission, to sign the agreement with the United pailv/ays £ electric Company of "Baltimore, relating to tha substitution of broken stone for con«
