Page 223. Six Inoh Macadam ordered between stations 648-650; 657-666 on Contract #021. The Chairman presented the following recommendation of the Chief Engineer; "In view of the fact that the sub-grade between stations 648 and 650 plus 50 and 657 and 665 on the «?. R. C. work in St. Mary's County, Contract #021 consists of sand and gravel, I would recommend that 6" macadam be laid "between these stations." ?fr. Shoemaker moved that the aforegoing recommendation of the Engineer to the C mmission be approved and the contractor notified to this effect. The motion was seconded "by "r. Hutton, and adopted. Contract on Belair Road awarded E. ?. Lindsay. O On motion of ?'r. c-hoemaker, the contract on the Road in "Baltimore County, from "ity "rimits to Ov3rl3a, a distance of 3.40 miles, was awarded ft. P. Lindsay at his bid price. The motion was duly seconded and adopted. Mr. Shoemaker moved that the contract in ^altimore ^ity Contract on GarriBon Ave. on c-arrison Avenue between vvralbrook Junction and the City Limits, awarded luonroe Paving Company, a distance of about 1.56 miles, be awarded the ^'onroa Pavinr company '••--' - at th^ir bid price. *fr. Hutton seconded the motion, v/hich was £> ~v ^ ~.j- adopted. On motion of "r. Shoemaker, seconded by -T. Hutton, the section of road in Carroll County between "^Idersbur^r and ^amber, a distance of about 4.67miles, was awarded T'r. J. ""!. ^easman, at the bid price of ?'essrB. M. "^ennett & "^ons, provided the stone to bs used on said work is aj.proved by the ^npiinoor to the commission. T":a motion was adopted. Contract on £ldereburg-Gamber Rd. awarded J. E. Beascian. 0 *V O'V Requoet for extension of time on Contract $080. Price of labor, etc., on Clearspring Road in Washington Comity. O O A communication from the County commissioners of ^icomico County was read, requesting that the time for the completion of their contract #080 (Salisbury-Mar del la Road) be extended from August 1st to November 1st, 1910. Mr. Shoemaker moved that the above request be granted. The motion was duly seconded, and adopted. The Chairman submitted to the Board a proposition from the Committee hsretofore appointed for the construction of a section of road through Claarspring in Washington County, stating the prices at which labor, teams, materials, etc., could be procured for this work. On motion of Tfr. Shoemaker, seconded by T'r. Hutton, said Committee wera authorized to proceed with the work on this contract, according to the prices as contained in said proposition. The motion was adopted.
