Page 135. Letter from D. V. Ault regarding removal of trees under contract #0183. Extension of time on Contract #0182. Request of Howard County Authorities. Culvert on Somerset, Princess-Ann e-\7est over Road. Claim for clearing land under Contract #050. Six Inch Water 7fain on Park Heights Avenue. The Chairman presented a letter from l.'r. T\ y. Ault, regarding the removal of trees on the line of road under contract #0183, and l.'r. Shoemaker moved that the secretary be directed to communicate with L'r. Ault to the effect that his contract requires that he shall remove all trees within the limits of the road, and to do such grubbing as may be necessary for the completion of his work. The motion was seconded by L'r. Hutton and adopted. The Chairman presented a communication from the J,T. A. Talbott Company regarding extension of time on his contract f/0182, Philadelphia Road, after r'ovember 1st. Mr. Shoemaker moved that a copy of the resolution passed at this meeting, regarding the continuance of the laying of macadam, surfacing and paving after the 1st of Vovember, 1909, be furwarded to the ].'. A. Talbott Company. The motion was duly seconded and adopted. !">r. Clark moved that the Secretary notify ?/r. Donovan representing the County authorities of Howard County, that after having carefully considered their '-equest to have the Commission refund the amount paid by said County on the Lower Sykesville Road, which has "been under construction for several years by said County under the shoemaker Act, and \vhich road has now been taken over by the State and is being completed under the State Roads Act, the Commission feels that it will be impossible to grant the request of the Howard County authorities. The motion was seconded by Mr. Shoemaker, and adopted. Mr. Hutton moved that a six foot culvert, at Station 925 plus 0', on the Somerset, Princess-Anne-Westorer Road, be substituted for the 24" terra cotta pipe formerly ordered for this \vork. The motion was seconded by Mr. Shoe- « maker and adopted. The Chairman read a letter from the Rickey-Swann Company regarding a claim of $169.42 for clearing the land, under contract #050, for vhich they think they should be compensated, and rr. Shoemaker moved that the engineer be requested to look into the matter and report at a later meeting. The motion was duly seconded and carried, A communication from the Highways Commission of Baltimore County, dated October 13th, 1909, in regard to a franchise to lay a 6" water main on the west side of Park
