Page 134, Acceptance by Commission of Two Files of Road from Balto. & Liberty Turnpike Company. ^Employment of Miss Mannion as Stenographer. Plans for Brooklyn-frlen-burnie Road. Shoulder on east side of Harford Road at Hamilton. approved by the Commission, that this CoTunission will pay the several contractors entering into such supplementary agreement, for all completed work, including macadam, pavinr and surfacing, • in the same manner as if said work had "been done prior to the first of November ; but in the event of any such contractor, and his surety, not entering into such supplementary agreement, then-the provisions of Section 379 of the Specifications contained in the State Roads Contract, shall in no way "he affected by these specifications." Mr. Hutton seconded the resolution, which was adopted. Mr. Shoemaker moved: "Whereas the •Baltimore and Libert- Turnpike Company has tendered to this Commission a r>eed for the two miles of said Turnpike Company's road vathin the City Limits of Baltimore, and one mile immediately adjacent thereto within Baltimore County ; Therefore, Be it Resolved: That upon the passage of proper resolutions "by the directors and stockholders of said Company, authorizing the execution of said deed in the form this day tendered to the Commission, that this commission accept the sane upon the terms and conditions set forth in said deed. And Be It ^urther pesolved: That upon the presentation of said deed, properly executed, and the acceptance thereof in accordance with the terma of the above recited resolution, that the engineer be, and he is hereby authorized to proceed at once to make the necessary surveys of said two miles '/.ithin the City Limits of Baltimore and one mile with n the limits of Baltimore County adjacent thereto, and that work on said two miles and one mile sections be commenced at the earliest practicable moment in the year 1910." The motion was seconded by !'r. Hutton and adopted. Dr. Clark moved that the action of the Chairman in the employment of Miss K. M. Mannion at $15,00 per week, as stenographer be approved by this Commission. The motion was seconded by Mr. Shoemaker and adopted. Mr. Shoemaker moved that surveys having bean made on the Brooklyn-^lenburnie Road, the engineering department be instructed to complete the plans at the earliest possible date, so that the \vork may be advertised. The motion was seconded by Mr. Hutton and adopted. The Chairman read a letter from Mr. T>. y. Ault, regarding the shoulder on the east side of the Harford Road at Hamilton. Mr. Shoemaker moved that the matter be referred to the engineer with power to take such action as may be necessary in the premises. The motion "/as seconded by Dr. Clark and adopted.
