Mr. Shoemaker moved that the bid of Fisher & Carozza, Baltimore, Md., for a section of road in Harford County, beginning at Forest Hill and running to St. Ignatius Church about Two Miles, be accepted, and the contract awarded to Fisher & Carozza, upon and on the following condition, to wit: provided said Fisher & Carozza will agree to insert in said contract a clause agreeing that the State Roads Commission may deduct from the aggregate price of the work, labor, materials and supplies done or furnished under said contract, an amount equal to the aggregate reduction in the existing published freight rates, if any, that they may obtain or receive the benefit of, upon any and all materials and supplies that may be furnished under said contract ; and that all other bids for work in said County be rejected, and that the certified checks of said bidders Yihoee proposals are rejected be returned to them. The Motion was duly seconded and adopted.
Mr. Kutton moved that the bid of Fisher & Carozza for work in Baltimore County from the City Limits to werring Run, a distance of about Two Milea be rejected and the work readvertised. The Motion was duly seconded and adopted.
Dr. Remsen moved the rejection of all bids for work in Somerset County from Princess Anne towards Westover, a distance of about Three Miles, and that the same be readvertised for building or grading, bridging and draining. The Motion was duly seconded and adopted, it being understood that the certified checks of the bidders whose proposals are rejected, be returned to them.
