RoJA Page 91. Bide opened June 30, 'O'J. Av/arding of Contract in Queen Anre's County. Awarding of Contract in Talbot County. c :~ Rejection of Bids in Alle^any County. The Commission proceeded to take up the bids on the roads as opened at the meeting of June 30th, 1909. Mr. Hutton moved that the bid of N. C. Hunter, Washington, Pa., for a section of road in Queen Anne's County, beginning at the Corporate limits of Centreville, and running towards Church Hill, about three miles, be accepted, and the contract awarded to N. c. Hunter upon and on the following conditions, to wit: provided said N. C. Hunter will agree to such reduction on Class "B* Macadam prices as the Chairman can secure ; and provided further that said N. C. Hunter will agree to insert in said contract a clause agreeing that the State Roads Commission may deduct from the aggregate price of the work, labor, materials and supplies done or furnished under said contract, an amount equal to the aggregate reduction in the existing freight rates, if any, that he may obtain or receive the benefit of, upon any and all materials and supplies that may be furnished under said contract ; and that all other bids for work in said County be rejected, and that all certified checks of said bidders whose proposals are rejected, be returned to them. The Motion was duly seconded and adopted. It was moved, seconded and carried that the bid of G. M. Frech, Sommerville, N. J., for a section of road in Talbot County, beginning kt the Corporate limits of the town of Easton, and running towards Wye Mills, a distance of about three miles, be accepted and the contract awarded to G. M. Frech upon and on the following condition, to wit. provided said G. M. Frech will agree to insert in said contract a clause agreeing that the State Roads Commiesion may deduct from the aggregate price of the work, labor, materials and supplies, done or furnished under said contract, an amount equal to the aggregate reduction in the existing published freight rates, if any, that he may obtain or receive the benefit of, upon any and all materials and supplies that may be furnished under said contract ; and that all other bids for work in said County be rejected, and that the certified checks of said bidders whose proposals are rejected be returned to them.
