Page 82. Dr, Clark mored that the Chairman be authorized to pro curt a Procuring of lock for Minute lock to be placed on the minute book. The motion was seconded by Mr, Book. Shoemaker, and adopted. Method of Keeping Accounts. Appointment of Committee to co-operate with Geological Survey Commission. Appointment of Corrjnittee to look into question of bookkeeper. Persons under consideration for "bookkeeper. Deposit to "be made in "3 in Baltimore City. Depository. Property of Chas. G. Hull on Westport Road. Dr. Remsen moved that the method of keeping the accounts of the Commission as suggested by the Auditing Committee, with such modifications and additions as conditions may warrant, be adopted. The motion was seconded, and it was so ordered. Dr, Clark moved the appointment of a Committee of this Commission to co-operate with the Committee of the Geological Survey Commission as to pro-rating the expenses of the two Commissions, of which the Chairman of the State Roada Commission shall be one, to adjust any matter of this character as "between the two Commissions. The motion was seconded by Governor Crothers, and adopted. The Chair named Mr. Shoemaker to act with himself as such Committee. Dr. Remaen moved the appointment of a committee of Three, of which the Chairman shall be one, to look into the qualifications of the respective candidates for the position of bookkeeper. The motion was seconded by Governor Crothers, and adopted. The chair named Governor Crothers and Dr. Remsen, who together with the Chairman will act as such Committee. Dr. Remsen moved that the Secretary "be instructed to send the names of the different persons under consideration for the position of bookkeeper, with their addresses and the endorsement and recommendations, to each member of the Co?nmission. The motion was seconded by Mr. Shoemaker, and adopted. Governor Crothers moved that the Chairman deposit in some Bank in Baltimore City such sums of money as at all times may be sufficient to meet any check that may be given for services performed for this Commission, for which payment may be asked in Baltimore City. The amount named being $25,000., subject to interest, in excess of $5,000. The motion was seconded by Dr. Hemsen, and adopted. }ir. Shoemaker moved that the Merchants National Bank of Baltimore City be named as such depository. The motion was seconded by Dr. Remsen, and adopted. The Counsel stated that Mr. Charles G. Hull, the owner of property on the Weetport road, had offered to give seven feet of land on said road to the Commission, and suggested that the Engineer take up the matter and if the Engineer thought it of value to the Commission, that a deed be accepted from Mr, Hull for such land.
