A special meeting of the State Beads Commission was held this ".Yednesday, January 27th., 1909, at its offices, Union Trust Building, Baltimore, Maryland, at 11 oiclock A.M. Present: Governor Austin T.. Crothers, Chairman John ?.'. Tucker, Dr. Ira Be.^sen, Kr. Francis C. Kutton, Dr. ""m. Bullock Clark, and T r. Samuel M. Shoemaker. The minutes of the last meeting of the Concniseion were read and approved. The Chairman presented the following bills, viz: F. Veber & Co. — -- $228.00 Win. H. Smith--- —— 110.66 . - Johns Hopkins Univ. 20-50 Dr. Clark moved that the bills enumerated above "be paid. The metier, was seconded by Er Remsen, and adopted. Dr. Clark raoved that t1 e Chief Engineer be instructed to send ar. Engineer from Frederick to Hageretown over the Kyersville Road fo; the purpose of getting some definite information as to the grades, and that he be instructed to return from Ha^erstown via Boonsboro to Frederick. The mttion was seconded by Dr. Remsen and adopted. Dr. Remsen moved that the Chief Engineer be authorized to have made two draughting tables at a total coat not exceeding $30. oo. The motion was seconded by Dr. Clark and adopted. Governor Crothers moved that the Commission adjourn to meet on Thursday, February 4, 1909, to tentatively locate the roads in the remaining six counties of the State.
