Baltimore, Md., May 7, 1908. mieeting of the State Roads Commission was held at the offices of the Maryland Geological & Economic Survey Commission, 532 North Howard Street, Baltimore, Md., at 10 o'clock A.M. this Thursday, May 7, 1908. Present: Governor Austin L. Crothers, Chairman John M. Tucker, Dr. Ira Remsen, Dr. Win. Bullock Clark, Mr. Francis C. Hutton and Mr. Samuel M. Shoemaker. The reading of the minutes of the last meeting was dispensed with. On motion o« Governor Crothers, duly seconded, Chairman Tucker and Dr. Clark were appointed a Committee to take up the question of the necessay space required for the working staff of the Commission and to report to the Commission. The question of the appointment of Counsel to the Commission being brought up, Dr. Remsen moved that the salary of the Counsel to the Comrission be fixed at $1500.00 per annum. The motion being seconded by Governor Crothers was adopted. On motion, duly seconded, the Commission adjourned to meet at the offices of the Maryland Geological & Economic Survey Commission, at 10 o'clock, Monday morning, May 11, 1908, to go in autonobiles and inspect the Baltimore & Washington Boulevard. The State Roads Commission met at the offices of the Maryland Geological x Economic Survey Commission, Johns Hop-kins University, Baltimore, Md., this Monday, May 11, 1908, at 10 o'clock A.M. All the members were present, except Governor Crothers, who was confined to his bed in Annapolis, "by illness. The Commission proceeded in automobiles over the Baltimore and Washington Boulevard.
