11 Anne Arundel County to wit I Nicholas Harwood Clerk of Anne Arundel County Court Do Certify that it appears by a deed of manumission from Edward Holland bearing date the thirty first day of January 1806 and recorded among the records of anne arundel County Court that negro Girl Barbara aged about sixteen years was to be free from the day of the date of the said deed of manumission she is about five feet two inches high her Complexion a bright mulatto was raised in the County of Anne Arundel Edward Holland of Anne Arundel County made Oath before Joseph Sands a Justice of the peace for the county aforesaid that said Barbara is the Identical person who was set free and mentioned in the said deed of manumission Issued the 23.rd April 1807 Ann Arundel County sct I Nicholas Harwood Clerk of Ann Arundel County Do hereby Certify that by the Oath of Benjamin Lusby taken before Gideon White one of the Justices of Ann Arundel County that Jane Savoy about the age of forty two years five feet high her Complexion a bright Mulatto was born free & that the said Jane Savoy was born & bred in the City of Annapolis Issued the 28 April 1807 Ann Arundel County sct I Nicholas Harwood Clerk of Ann Arundel County Do hereby Certify that by the Oath of Edward Holland taken before Joseph Sands one of the Justices of the peace of Ann Arundel County that Samuel Spencer about the age of twenty seven years five feet eight Inches high complexion black has a scar on his right hand is a freeman & that the said Samuel Spencer was born & bred in Caroline County on the Eastern Shore of Maryland Issued the 4 May 1807 |
