of the said Ruth Davis dated the Eighteenth day of March Eighteen
hundred and twenty Eight was raised in Anne Arundel County
and has a scar on the left arm

                I Samuel Brown Jun.r Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County
do hereby Certify and Attest that it appears from the last will and
Testament of Ruth Davis late of the County aforesaid, deceased, that she
did by her said will Manumit liberate and set free, a negro man by the
name of William Purdy and it being proved to my satisfaction that barrer
hereof is the identical person as freed by said will.   I do certify that he is
in height five feet five & ½ inches, is about the age of twenty four
years dark complexion and was freed by the last will and Testament
of the said Ruth Davis dated the Eighteenth day of March eighteen hundred
and Twenty Eight was raised in Anne Arundel County and has
no perceptible Marks
                                    Issued the 4th day of September

            I Samuel Brown Jun.r Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County
do Certify and Attest that it appears from the last will and Testament
of Ruth Davis late of the County aforesaid, deceased, that she did by
her said will, manumit, liberate and set free, a negro Girl by the
name of Nancy Richardson and it being proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof is the identical person as freed by said will
I do certify that she is in height four feet ten inches, is about the age
of Twelve years light complexion, and was freed by the last will
and Testament of the said Ruth Davis dated the Eighteenth day of
March eighteen hundred and twenty Eight and was raised in Anne
Arundel County and has a scar on the back of her right hand
                                            Issued the 4th day of September 1837
                                                   Sam.l Brown Jun Reg Wills A A County



            I Samuel Brown Jun.r Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County do
hereby certify and Attest that it appears from the last will and Testament
of Ruth Davis late of the County aforesaid, deceased, that she did by
her aid will, Manumit, liberate and set free, a negro Girl by the
name of Eliza Ann Hemsley and it being proved to my satisfaction that
the bearer hereof is the identical person as freed by said will.   I do certify
that she is in height five feet & half inch is about the age of sixteen
years light complexion and was freed by the last will and Testament
of the said Ruth Davis dated the Eighteenth day of March Eighteen hundred
