four years old on the 22nd day of June 1855 to dwell with and serve the said Francis McAvoy as a good and faithful apprentice until he shall arrive at the full age of twenty one years old which will be on the 22nd day of June 1872. And the said Francis McAvoy on his part is to furnish sufficient meat and drink washing and lodging and when the said apprentices term of service shall expire the said Francis McAvoy to give him the customary freedom dues. As witness my hand and seal this 25th day of July 1854 her Witness Fanny x Howard (seal) Nathan Shipley Mark State of Maryland Howard County SS. On this 25th day of July 1854 personally appeared before me the subscriber a justice of the peace in and for the county and State aforesaid Fanny Howard whose name is affixed to the within instrument of writing and acknowledged the same to be her act and deed and for the purposes therein mentioned.
