by his Bill obligatory duly executed on stamp paper bearing even date with these presents owes and stands Justly
indebted to the said James Wallace, James E. Douglass and Josiah Jump in the sum of Three Hundred Dollars Current
money and to secure the payment thereof is willing to Execute these presents   Now This Indenture Witnesseth that
the said Richard M. Beall for and in Consideration of the premises and for and in Consideration of the sum of
One Dollar Current Money to him in hand paid by the said James Wallace James E. Douglass and Josiah Jump
at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Richard M. Beall doth hereby
acknowledge and thereof and therefrom doth acquit release exonerate and forever discharge the said James Wallace
James E. Douglass and Josiah Jump their heirs executors and administrators and every of them by these presents hath
granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said James Wallace, James
E. Douglass and Josiah Jump their executors administrators and assigns One half of the printing press, Type
Cases furniture and materials in the office of the Cambridge Chronicle Newspaper Now remaining standing and
being in a Certain messuage or tenement situate in the Town of Cambridge and now in the occupation of the said Richard
M Beall being the same one half of the printing press Type Cases furniture and materials in the office of the Cambridge
Chronicle newspaper which was Conveyed to the said Richard M Beall by a Certain Charles F. Goldsborough by Bill
of Sale bearing date the second day of January Eighteen hundred and fifty four and recorded among the Chattel and
Books for Dorchester County reference being had to said Bill of Sale will more fully and at large appear.  To
Have and To Hold the said one half of the printing press Type Cases furniture and materials in the office of the
Cambridge Chronicle Newspaper herein before granted bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be unto the
said James Wallace James E. Douglass and Josiah Jump their Executors administrators and assigns to the only proper
use and behoof ot he said James Wallace James E. Douglass and Josiah Jump their Executors administrators and
assigns forever Provided always and these presents are upon this Condition that if the said Richard M. Beall
his Executors or administrators shall and do well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the said James Wallace James E.
Douglass and Josiah Jump their Executors administrators or assigns the full Sum of Three hundred Dollars Current
money with legal Interest for the Same on or before the tenth day of January Eighteen hundred and fifty five, then and
in Such Case these presents and every matter and thing therein Contained Shall Cease determine and be utterly void
to all intents and purposes any thing herein Contained to the Contrary thereof in any wise notwithstanding

                In testimony whereof the said Richard M. Beall hath hereunto subscribed his name and affixed his seal
the day and year first hereinafter written

State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit:      Be it remembered that on this tenth day of January Eighteen
Hundred and fifty four before the subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for the County and state aforesaid personally
appeared Richard M. Beall party grantor and Mortgagor and acknowledged the within and aforegoing Mortgage
Bill of Sale to be his act and deed and delivered the Same for the uses and purposes therein mentioned according to
the purport true intent and meaning of the Same and at the same time Came before me Justice as aforesaid
James Wallace James E. Douglass and Josiah Jump part grantee and Mortgagee within Mentioned, and made
oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God, that the Consideration set forth in the aforegoing Mortgage Bill of Sale
is true and bona fide as therein set forth              Acknowledged & Sworn before         Robert R. Robertson

Caleb Hubbard & Eliza J. Hubbard (his wife)      1854 to wit:         Know all men by these presents that we
Caleb Hubbard and Jane Hubbard his wife of Dorchester County and state of Maryland for and in Consideration
of the sum of Four Hundred Dollars Current money of Maryland to us in hand paid by Charles Shenton of the
