Hicks and John W. Dail bearing date the 22nd day of October 1855 for One thousand and thirty Eight dollars and seventy five cents payable to the said Thomas Vickers, which bond assigned to me by the said Thomas Vickers I have received in full satisfaction and discharge of a legacy of One thousand dollars given and bequeathed to me by the last will and testament of James Vickers deceased the father of the undersigned and the said Thomas Vickers, and which legacy by the said last will and testament was charged upon the said Thomas Vickers to pay to me And I do hereby release exonerate and discharge the said Thomas Vickers from all liability to me claim or demand or my for or on account of the said legacy.
