193 all the rest & residue of my household and Kitchen furniture all and singular which said Goods and Chattels are now remaining standing and being in a Certain messuage or tenement situate in the Town of Cambridge and now in the occupation of the said James H. Bradshaw. To Have and To Hold all and singular the said Goods & Chattels Household stuff and furniture and other the premises above and within bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said John Bradshaw his executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said James H. Bradshaw for myself my heirs executors and administrators all and singular the said Goods & Chattels Household stuff and furniture and other the premises unto the said John Bradshaw his executors administrators and assigns against me the said James H. Bradshaw my executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty eighth day of December Eighteen Hundred and fifty five. Signed sealed & delivered in the presence of James H. Bradshaw (seal) Charles Corkran State of Maryland Dorchester County Sct: On this twenty eighth day of December Eighteen Hundred and fifty five personally appeared before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for Dorchester County aforesaid James H. Bradshaw who is known to me to be the person who is named and described as and professing to be the person or party to the within Bill of Sale or instrument of writing and acknowledged the said Bill of Sale or instrument of writing to be his act and deed. At the same time & place also appeared before me Justice of the Peace as aforesaid John Bradshaw the Vendee in the within Bill of Sale or instrument of writing and made oath that the Consideration set forth in the said Bill of Sale is true & bona fide as therein set forth Acknowledged and sworn before Charles Corkran Received the 29th day of December 1855 of John Bradshaw the sum of one dollar in lieu of a Stamp on this Bill of Sale. Francis J. Henry Clk Levin Seward Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill of Sale was √ from xd received and recorded on the 31st day of December Anno Domini 1855 to wit: Soloman Saunders Know all men by these presents that I Soloman Saunders of Dorchester County for and in Consideration of the sum of Six Hundred dollars Current money to me in hand paid by Levin Seward of the same County at and before the sealing of these presents the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge Have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Levin Seward his executors administrators and assigns: one negro Woman Susan aged twenty two years slave for life sound and healthy. To Have and To Hold the said negro woman Susan aged twenty two years slave for life above bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be to the said Levin Seward his Executors administrators and assigns forever; and I the said Soloman Saunders for myself my heirs executors and administrators the said negro Woman Susan unto the said Levin Seward his executors and administrators and assigns against me the said Soloman Saunders my Executors administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
