2004 LAWS OF MARYLAND

the effective date of this Act (Montgomery County)....................

(D)    Laurel Regional Hospital. Provide a grant of $675,000 to the
County Executive and County Council of Prince George's
County for the planning, design, renovation, expansion, repair,
construction, and capital equipping of the emergency
department, located in Laurel, provided that this grant is
contingent upon the implementation of the February 20, 2004
memorandum of understanding made between Prince George's
County, Maryland and the State of Maryland or any subsequent
amendment of that memorandum of understanding as agreed to
by the State. Further provided, that unless the Prince George's
County Council adopts a resolution committing to implement the
February 20, 2004 memorandum of understanding, or any
subsequent amendment of that memorandum of understanding
as agreed to by the State, by May 12, 2004, these funds shall be
used to construct public school buildings and public school
capital improvements in accordance with Sections 5-301
through 5-303 of the Education Article
(Prince George's
County)............................................................................................

(E)    Prince George's Hospital Center. Provide a grant of $300,000 to
the County Executive and County Council of Prince George's
County for the planning, design, renovation, expansion, repair,
construction, and capital equipping of the emergency
department, located in Cheverly, provided that this grant is
contingent upon the implementation of the February 20, 2004
memorandum of understanding made between Prince George's
County, Maryland and the State of Maryland or any subsequent
amendment of that memorandum of understanding as agreed to
by the State. Further provided, that unless the Prince George's
County Council adopts a resolution committing to implement the
February 20, 2004 memorandum of understanding, or any
subsequent amendment of that memorandum of understanding
as agreed to by the State, by May 12, 2004, these funds shall be
used to construct public school buildings and public school
capital improvements in accordance with Sections 5-301
through 5-303 of the Education Article
(Prince George's

(F)     St. Joseph Medical Center. Provide a grant equal to the lesser of
(i) $230,000 or (ii) the amount of the matching fund provided, to
the Board of Directors of St. Joseph Medical Center, Inc. for the
planning, design, renovation, expansion, repair, construction,
and capital equipping of the Pediatric Urgent Care Center at St.
Joseph Medical Center, located in Towson. Notwithstanding
Section 1(5) of this Act, the matching fund may consist of funds
expended prior to the effective date of this Act (Baltimore
County)............................................................................................
