2004 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(I) Maryland Independent College and University Association -
Sojourner-Douglass College. Provide a grant equal to the
lesser of (i) $2,000,000 or (ii) the amount of the matching fund
provided, to the Board of Trustees of Sojourner-Douglass
College to assist in the renovation of a building and the design
and construction of an addition to the building, to be used as a
new administrative and academic facility, subject to the
requirement that the grantee provide an equal and matching
fund for this purpose. Notwithstanding Section 1(5) of this Act,
the matching fund may consist of funds expended prior to the
effective date of this Act (Baltimore City)....................................

(J) Maryland Independent College and University Association -
Villa Julie College. Provide a grant equal to the lesser of (i)
$2,000,000 $2,500,000 $2,000,000 $2,250,000 or (ii) the amount
of the matching fund provided, to the Board of Trustees of Villa
Julie College to assist in the design and construction of a new
academic building, subject to the requirement that the grantee
provide an equal and matching fund for this purpose.
Notwithstanding Section 1(5) of this Act, the matching fund
may consist of funds expended prior to the effective date of this
Act (Baltimore County)..................................................................

(K) Maryland Science Center. Provide a grant to the Board of
Directors of the Maryland Academy of Sciences to assist in the
construction and capital equipping of the expansion and
renovation of the Maryland Science Center including the cost to
design, construct, and acquire permanent exhibits with a life of
not less than 15 years, subject to the requirement that the
grantee provide an equal and matching fund for this purpose.
Notwithstanding Section 1(5) of this Act, the matching fund
may include real property, in-kind contributions, or funds
expended prior to the effective date of this Act (Baltimore City).

(L) Maryland Technology Development Corporation. Provide a
grant to the Maryland Technology Development Corporation for
the purpose of assisting Montgomery County with development
and improvement for the East County Center for Science and
Technology Incubator located adjacent to the U.S. Food and
Drug Administration, subject to the requirement that the
County Executive and County Council of Montgomery County
provide an equal and matching fund for this purpose.
Notwithstanding Section 1(5) of this Act, the matching fund
may include funds expended prior to the effective date of this
Act. The funds shall be administered in accordance with Article
83A, Section 5-2A-04.1 (Montgomery County)............................
