SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Agriculture
SUBTITLE 9. MARYLAND CROP INSURANCE PREMIUM PROGRAM.
2-901.
(A) THERE IS A MARYLAND CROP INSURANCE PREMIUM PROGRAM WHICH IS
ESTABLISHED FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENCOURAGING ELIGIBLE FARMERS TO
PARTICIPATE IN THE FEDERAL CROP INSURANCE PROGRAM ADMINISTERED BY THE
UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE.
(B) (1) THE SECRETARY MAY PAY A FARMER ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN
THE FEDERAL CROP INSURANCE PROGRAM NOT MORE THAN $2 PER ACRE FOR ANY
FEDERAL CROP INSURANCE PREMIUM PAID BY THE FARMER
(2) THE DEPARTMENT MAY DISTRIBUTE MONEY UNDER THE MARYLAND
CROP INSURANCE PREMIUM PROGRAM FROM FUNDS PROVIDED IN THE BUDGET.
(C) THE SECRETARY MAY ADOPT REGULATIONS TO IMPLEMENT THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2000.

Hunting and Trapping - Coyotes - Repeal of Sunset
FOR the purpose of repealing the termination of provisions of law relating to the
hunting and trapping of coyotes and the inclusion of coyotes under the definition
of "fur-bearing mammal".
