PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT BY A THIRD PARTY CONTRACTOR TO WORK IN A SCHOOL
THAT IS RECONSTITUTED BY ORDER OF THE MARYLAND STATE BOARD OF
EDUCATION IF THE INDIVIDUAL: (1) COMPLETES A CLAIM FOR THE SERVICE CREDIT AND FILES IT WITH
THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES ON A FORM THAT THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES PROVIDES;
AND (2) PAYS TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IN A SINGLE PAYMENT THE
MEMBER CONTRIBUTIONS THE INDIVIDUAL WOULD HAVE MADE FOR THE PERIOD OF
EMPLOYMENT FOR WHICH SERVICE CREDIT IS BEING PURCHASED PLUS REGULAR
INTEREST TO THE DATE OF PAYMENT. (E) AN INDIVIDUAL MAY NOT PURCHASE MORE THAN 5 YEARS OF SERVICE
CREDIT FOR THE PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT BY A THIRD PARTY CONTRACTOR TO
WORK IN A SCHOOL THAT IS RECONSTITUTED BY ORDER OF THE MARYLAND STATE
BOARD OF EDUCATION. [23-214.] 23-215. Membership ends on separation from employment. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2000. Approved May 18, 2000.
CHAPTER 689
(House Bill 1299) AN ACT concerning Department of Agriculture - Maryland Crop Insurance Premium Program FOR the purpose of authorizing the Secretary of Agriculture to pay a farmer eligible
to participate in the Federal Crop Insurance Program a certain amount of
money for Federal Crop Insurance premiums paid; authorizing for moneys
provided under the Program to be distributed from a certain source; authorizing
the Secretary to adopt certain regulations; and generally relating to the
Maryland Crop Insurance Premium Program. BY adding to Article - Agriculture Section 2-901 to be under the new subtitle "Subtitle 9. Maryland Crop Insurance Premium Program"
