PARRIS N. GLENDENING, Governor

and Management and General Services, and the approved program
plan has been submitted to the budget committees for review and
comment or 45 days have elapsed from the date of receipt (Anne
Arundel County).................................................................................

(B)    Carroll County Detention Center. Provide a grant to the Board of
County Commissioners of Carroll County to assist in the design,
construction, and equipping of the renovation and expansion of the
Carroll County Detention Center (Carroll County).........................

(C)    Prince George's County Correctional Center. Provide a grant to
the County Executive and County Council of Prince George's
County to assist in the design, construction, and equipping of the
expansion and renovation of the Prince George's County
Correctional Center, subject to the requirement that the grantee
provide a matching fund of $4,170,000 for this purpose.
Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 1(5) of this Act, the
matching fund may include funds expended prior to the effective
date of this Act, provided that no funds may be expended until the
program plan has been approved by the Departments of Budget
and Management and General Services, and the approved program
plan has been submitted to the budget committees for review and
comment or 45 days have elapsed from the date of receipt. Further
provided that no part of this appropriation may be expended to
construct or renovate any space for local law enforcement agencies,
including space for the Office of the Public Defender, State's
Attorney's Office, county sheriff, and county and municipal police.
The Department of Budget and Management should determine what
portion of the authorization reimburses the county for local law
enforcement capital improvements, so that the authorization can be
adjusted appropriately. Information concerning the number of square
feet, construction and renovation costs, and funding source of any
local law enforcement space should be included with the approved
master plan when it is submitted to the budget committees

George's County)................................................................................

(D)    Worcester County Jail. Provide a grant to the Board of County
Commissioners of Worcester County to assist in the design,
construction, and equipping of the expansion of the Worcester
County Jail, subject to the requirement that the grantee provide a
matching fund of $748,000 for this purpose. Notwithstanding the
provisions of Section 1(5) of this Act, the matching fund may
include funds expended prior to the effective date of this Act
(Worcester County)............................................................................

(E)    St. Mary's County Adult Detention Center. Provide a
supplemental grant to the County Commissioners of St. Mary's
