(5) "County Executive" means the County Executive of Prince George's
County.

(b)    There is a task force on education funding in Prince George's County.

(c)     The task force consists of 17 members appointed as follows:

(1)     Two members of the County Board, appointed by the Board;

(2)     Two members of the County Council, appointed by the Council;

(3)     One member of the Senate of Maryland from the Prince George's
County Delegation, appointed by the chairman of the Senate delegation;

(4)     One member of the House of Delegates from the Prince George's
County Delegation, appointed by the chairman of the House delegation;

(5)     One member representing the Prince George's County Office of
Finance, appointed by the County Executive;

(6)     One member representing the Prince George's County Office of
Management and Budget, appointed by the County Executive;

(7)     Three Two members who own or operate businesses and who reside in
Prince George's county, appointed by the Chamber of Commerce;

(8)     One member appointed by the Prince George's County Educators
Association;

(9)     One member appointed by the Association of School-Based Administrative
and Supervisory Personnel;

(9) (10) One member appointed by the American Federation of State,
County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME);

(10) (11) Three members of the general public, at least two of whom have a
child who attends a public school in Prince George's County, appointed by the chairman
of the Prince George's County Senate Delegation and the chairman of the Prince
George's County House Delegation; and

(11) (12) A chairperson who is not an elected official, appointed by the
County Board.
(d) The task force shall:

(1)     Explore all possible options and approaches for increasing funding for
the public schools in Prince George's County, including, but not limited to, giving the
County Board the authority to impose taxes.

(2)     Hold at least one public hearing in each school board district in the
county.

(e) Each member of the task force shall serve without compensation.
