In Witness whereof the said William Henry has hereunto subscribed his name and affixed his seal the 24.th day of March in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred & forty eight. his Signed, sealed & delivered in the presence of William x Henry (seal) A. S. Harper, a Justice of the Peace Maryland, Dorchester County ss. Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on the 24.th day of March in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight, personally appeared William Henry before the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace in and for the said County, and acknowledged the within and aforegoing Bill of sale to be his Act and deed, according to the true intent & meaning of the same, and the Acts of Assembly in such cases made & provided. Acknowledged before A. S. Harper, a Justice of the Peace Maryland, Dorchester County ss. On the 24.th day of March Eighteen hundred and forty eight, personally appeared Samuel T. Wilkinson, before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for said County, and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration mentioned in the said Bill of sale is justly and bona fide due him as therein set forth. Sworn before A. S. Harper, a Justice of the Peace John W. D. Travers Be it remembered that the following Mortgage 100 from Ex.d Bill of sale was recorded on the 4.th day of April William Partridge 1848, To wit: This Indenture made this third day of April in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight, between William Partridge, of Dorchester County state of Maryland, of the one part, and John W. D. Travers, of the County & state aforesaid, of the other part. Whereas the said John W. D. Travers now stands bound as security, on the paper of the aforesaid William Partridge, for the sum of Three hundred dollars, current money, and the said William Partridge being desirous to secure to the said John W. D. Travers the payment of the said sum is willing to execute these presents - Now this Indenture Witnesseth, that the said William Partridge, for and in consideration of the Premises, and of the sum of five dollars, current money, to him in hand paid by the said John W. D. Travers, at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell unto the said John W. D. Travers, his Executors, Administrators B of Sale Deld to Jno M. Travers Sept 10 1849. |
