appeared Thomas C. Jones and John Jones of Col. Executors as
aforesaid, and Grantees in the said bill of sale, and made Oath
that the consideration set forth in the said bill of sale is true
and bona fide as therein set forth.   Acknowledged & sworn
before me                                    James Hammersly

Received April 3.d 1848 of Thomas C. Jones one dollar
in lieu of a stamp on this bill of sale.

Sam.l T. Wilkinson      Be it remembered that the following Mortgage
85.      from    Ex.d      Bill of sale was recorded on the 5.th day of
William Henry             April 1848, To wit:
                                   Know all men by these presents that I William
Henry of Dorchester County, for and in consideration of the sum of ninety
nine dollars and ninety nine cents, current money of Maryland, to
me in hand paid by Samuel T. Wilkinson of said County, at and
before the execution of these presents, the receipt whereof I the said
William Henry do hereby acknowledgd, have granted, bargained, & sold,
conveyed and transfered, and by these presents do grant, bargain,
sell, convey and transfer unto the said Samuel T. Wilkinson,
his heirs and Assigns forever, the following property, To wit:
one Spotted Stallion called Bucephalus, otherwise called the Grand
Turk, and which said Horse is now in my possession.  To have
and to hold the said above named Horse unto the said Samuel
T. Wilkinson, his heirs and Assigns forever, to his & their sole use
and uses forever, and to and for no other use, intent or purpose whatsoever,
against me the said William Henry and my heirs, and
against all persons whatsoever claiming or to claim the same.
Provided Nevertheless, and it is the true intent & meaning of
these presents and of the said parties hereunto, that if the said parties hereunto
that if the said William Henry his heirs or assigns do and shall well
and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Samuel T. Wilkinson,
his heirs or Assigns the full and just sum of ninety nine dollars
and ninety nine cents, current money of Maryland, with interest,
within four months from the date thereof, then and in such case these
presents and every matter and thing herein contained shall cease and become
utterly null and void, any thing herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding.
And the said William Henry doth further agree that if
default shall be made in the payment of the said sum of Ninety
nine dollars and ninety nine cents, current money of Maryland,
with interest from date, that then and in such case the said property
herein conveyed shall become the property of the said Samuel
