380 Turpin Wright Dorchester County to wit: Be it remembered and Exd from 65 and it is hereby certified that the following BIll of sale Robert Stanley was received and recorded on the first day of December 1851 Know all men by these presents that I Robert Stanley of Dorchester County and State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars current money of Maryland to me in hand paid by Turpin Wright of the same county and state aforesaid The receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these presence do grant, bargain & sell unto the said Turpin Wright the following property to wit Crop of corn on the Farm at present occupied by me All the blade fodder and top fodder 60 Bushels of Wheat more or less 30 head of Hogs more or less 1 yoak of oxen 2 Cows 3 yearlings 7 head of sheep 2 Beds Bedsteads & furniture 1 wooden Clock 1 Corner Cupboard and contents 2 pine Tables 2 Doz stool chairs 1 Loom and Contents 2 Cheneworth Ploughs 2 Hook Harrows 2 cutting axes 3 Grubbing Hoes 1 Bay Horse 1 ox cart stool chest & tools 2 pine chests 2 scyths & cradles 9 head of geese 5 turkeys 100 head of chickens more or less To have and to hold the said goods and chattels as above bargained and sold unto the said Turpin Wright his heirs executors administrators and assigns against me the said Robert Stanley my heirs executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend. In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal this seventeenth day of November eighteen hundred and fifty one. Signed Sealed and delivered Robert Standley (Seal) in presence of Nicholas Langfit State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit On this 17th day of November in the year of our lord eighteen hundred and fifty one personally appeared before the subscriber a justice of the peace in and for the County and state aforesaid the within named Robert Stanley and acknowledged the within Bill of sale to be his act and deed according to the purport true intent and meaning of the same. And at the same time came before me the subscriber aforesaid Turpin Wright within mentioned and made oath on the holy Evangely of Almighty God That the consideration set forth in the Bill of sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth Acknowledged and sworn to before Nicholas Langfit J. P. Received this 1st day of December 1851 of Turpin Wright the sum of one dollar in lieu of a stamp on this bill of sale. F. I.
