in our presence sign, seal and deliver the said Bond as their act
and deed for the purposes therein mentioned."   Sworn before me

State of Maryland      Be it remembered that the following Bond was
          from   Ex.d       recorded on the 19.th day of April 1847, To wit:
George W. L. Smith      [Stamp]     Know all men by these presents that
    & others                  [one doll.]   we George W. L. Smith, Charles T. Smith
                                  and Francis B. C. Turpin of Dorchester County
in the State of Maryland are held and firmly bound unto the State
of Maryland in the full and just sum of Two thousand dollars
current money of the United States to be paid to the said State
or its Attorney to the which payment well and truly to be made
and done we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators
jointly and severally firmly by these presents.  Sealed with our seals &
dated this 19.th day of April 1847.      The Condition of teh above
obligation is such that if the above bounden George W. L. Smith
shall well and truly execute teh Office of Constable in Election
District number two in Dorchester County in all things appertaining
thereto and shall well adn truly account for all monies placed in
his hands for Collection and shall also well and truly pay all
sums of Money received by him then the above obligation to
be void otherwise of full force and virtue in law.

John Muir   James Smith                          F. B. C. Turpin       (L S)

Dorchester County, To wit:  on the 19.th day of April 1847
personally appeared before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace
in and for the County aforesaid John Muir & James Smith and
made the following Oath, To wit:   "We John Muir & James Smith
subscribing witnesses to teh above Bond do make Oath that
George W. L. Smith, Charles T. Smith and F. B. C. Turpin obligors
mentioned in teh said Bond did severally in our presence sign, seal
adn deliver the said Bond as their Act and deed for the purposes
therein mentioned."  Sworn before me on the day above mentioned.
