104 Dorchester County On this 17 day of april 1843 personally appeared before to wit me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for the County aforesaid John Muir and John Thompson and made the following oath to wit we John Muir and John Thompson subscribing witnesses to the above bond do make oath that Benjamin Keene Pretchett Meredith and Charles Shenton obligors mentioned in the said bond did severally in our presence sign seal and deliver the said bond as their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned Sworn before me on the day above mentioned John G. Abbott J.P. Bond State of Maryland Be it remembered that the following Bond was recorded Ex.d from 17 April 1843 to wit Know all men by these presents that Walter Kirby we Walter Kirby William Bell and William Kirby William Kirby & of Dorchester County in the state of Maryland are held and William Bell firmly bound unto the state of Maryland in the full and Just sum of Two thousand dollars current money of the United States to be paid to the said state or its certain Attorney to the which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves our heirs executors & administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 17 day of april 1843.
