Ch. 184                                    1994 LAWS OF MARYLAND

authorizing certain transfers of licenses under certain circumstances; authorizing the
Department to adopt by regulation certain standards for certain license transfers;
requiring the Department to establish by regulation a certain procedure for the
voluntary registration of certain vessels on certain licenses; providing for the
temporary suspension of a tidal fish license; requiring permanent revocation of a
tidal fish license under certain conditions; defining certain terms; requiring certain
reports; establishing certain times, methods, and limits for catching crabs,
notwithstanding certain regulations;
providing for the termination of this Act; making
this Act. an emergency measure; and generally relating to the licensing of
commercial fishermen and fish dealers and limiting entry to the commercial
fisheries for new applicants.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

4-101.

(a)     In this title, the following words have the meanings indicated.

(b)     "Catch" includes to take, kill, trap, gather, harvest, or in any manner reduce
any fish to personal possession.

(c)     "Closed season" means the time during which any particular species of fish
may not be caught legally and includes any period of time not included within the open
season.

(d)     "County" includes Baltimore City unless otherwise indicated.
