SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

10-412.

(A)     IN THIS SUBTITLE, "POLICE OFFICER" MEANS:

(1)      A UNIFORMED POLICE OFFICER; OR

(2)      A CIVILIAN EMPLOYEE OF THE MARYLAND STATE POLICE ASSIGNED
TO ENFORCE THIS SUBTITLE OR ANY RULE OR REGULATION ADOPTED UNDER THIS
SUBTITLE, BUT ONLY WHILE ACTING UNDER WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION OF THE
SUPERINTENDENT OF THE MARYLAND STATE POLICE.

(B)     A POLICE OFFICER SHALL HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO ENFORCE THIS
SUBTITLE AND ANY REGULATION ADOPTED UNDER IT.
