Ch. 73                                       1993 LAWS OF MARYLAND

specifications for an addition to the warehouse on the University of Maryland
Baltimore County campus to be used to provide a portion of the funds to renovate
Howard Hall at the University of Maryland at Baltimore, and to permit funds
remaining in the appropriation to construct renovation for adaptive reuse of the
Brome/Howard House to be used to provide a portion of the funds to design,
construct, and equip museum and park improvements and exhibits, relocate
structures, and conduct preconstruction archaeological surveys and mitigation at
Historic St. Mary's City; amending Chapter 597 of the Acts of 1987, the General
Construction Loan of 1987, to permit funds remaining in the appropriation to
construct an Annapolis Data Center to be used to provide a portion of the funds to
provide for the State capital facilities renewal program, to permit funds remaining
in the appropriation to construct shore erosion control measures at Rocks State
Park to be credited to the Shore Erosion Control Fund created by this Act, to
permit funds remaining in the appropriation to renovate the HVAC system at the
Thomas B. Finan Center and funds remaining in the appropriation to renovate the
central kitchen at Rosewood Center to be used to provide a portion of the funds to
equip the residence building and to construct a multipurpose building at the
Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents - Baltimore, and to permit funds
remaining in the appropriation to purchase the parking lot at 358 East Monument
Street in Baltimore City and funds remaining in the appropriation to replace steam
and condensate lines at the Maryland Correctional Institution - Hagerstown and
funds remaining in the appropriation to construct a maximum security facility for
women at Patuxent Institution and funds remaining in the appropriation to restore
roofs on the gymnasium and hospital at the Maryland House of Correction to be
used to provide a portion of the funds to design and construct a new medium
security correctional facility in Allegany County; amending Chapter 542 of the Acts
of 1988, the General Construction Loan of 1988, to permit funds remaining in the
appropriation to provide capital equipment for the Edgewood Armory to be used to
provide a portion of the funds to design, construct, and equip the Cheltenham
Armory and Organizational Maintenance Shop, and to permit funds remaining in
the appropriation to design and construct shore erosion control measures at Rocks
State Park to be credited to the Shore Erosion Control Fund created by this Act,
and to permit funds remaining in the appropriation to design, construct, and equip
three 192-cell housing units and a program building at the Hagerstown Correctional
Complex and funds remaining in the appropriation to correct fire safety deficiencies
at the Central Laundry Pre-Release Unit and funds remaining in the appropriation
to design the renovation of the dayrooms and administrative entrance areas in the
Defective Delinquent Building at Patuxent Institution and funds remaining in the
appropriation to construct two 192-cell housing units at the Maryland House of
Correction and funds remaining in another appropriation to construct and equip
two 192-cell housing units at the Maryland House of Correction and funds
remaining in the appropriation to construct and equip a Pre-Release Facility for
Women in Baltimore City to be used to provide a portion of the funds to design and
construct a new medium security correctional facility in Allegany County, and to
permit funds remaining in the appropriation to design, construct, and equip a
communication facility for the Emergency Medical Services Field Operations of the
Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems and funds remaining in
the appropriation to renovate Hayden-Harris Hall for the School of Dentistry to be
