AN ACT concerning

Criminal Justice Information System

FOR the purpose of altering certain provisions of law relating to
the criminal justice information system; eliminating certain
data elements not considered to be criminal history record
information; altering the definition of criminal justice
agency; providing that a designee of the Criminal Justice
Information Advisory Board may vote; establishing a quorum
for the transaction of business; altering the membership of
the Criminal Justice Information Advisory Board; altering
references to the Governor's Commission on Law Enforcement
and the Administration of Justice to be the Governor's
Office of Justice Assistance; altering the administration
and operation of the central repository; eliminating an
obsolete duty of the Maryland State Police to collect and
disseminate criminal record information; and generally
relating to criminal history record information and the
criminal justice information system.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(a)  As used in this subtitle, the following words have the
meanings indicated.

(b)  "Advisory Board" means the Criminal Justice Information
Advisory Board.
